About us
We originally grew
out of a thriving medical practice. For more
than a decade we had specialized in detoxifying
people who present with chronic illnesses. We used functional medical
approaches, treating with nutritional and energetic
modalities, as well as recommending lifestyle
changes. During this time, we augmented
these detoxification modalities with "thermal
depuration", a fancy phrase for sauna therapy.
Compliance with sauna therapy for patients who
do not own a sauna has always
been spotty, at best. However, when a patient
owns his/her sauna, the increase in compliance is huge. Most traditional saunas
cost thousands of dollars. Understandably, many,
indeed most, patients cannot afford this price.
Our team started with the
combination of the detox
knowledge of a physician and the experience of a
degreed electrical engineer with a manufacturing
background. Sauna designs and technical features
are chosen for true value, both from an
engineering and a medical perspective, not just
to make marketing copy.
During this last decade,
we've seen the number of toxin-related symptoms
and illnesses grow, as the levels of toxin (of
various kinds) in our patients' bodies increase,
due to the ubiquitous environmental exposures of our modern world. Detox
interventions that worked well a decade ago are
becoming less and less effective - sadly and
alarmingly. We have became more convinced that sauna
therapy is needed, not just as a optional
adjunct, but as a vital component. Too many
toxins either are too slow to process though the
usual detox pathways, or for some chemicals,
there simply are no detox pathways available.
The only elimination is through thermal mobilization
and sweating.
We decided to design and
produce our own saunas. We have developed our own direct distribution
channel. While it may sound like marketing
hyperbole - we really do cut out the middlemen.
Some people - who have not seen our products -
have wondered if our products must be deficient
in quality since the price was so low. Quality
is genuinely excellent and technical innovation
is truly cutting edge. We are just efficient at
distribution and keeping our margins low.
Our mission is rather
grand: a sauna in every home! Why? Because almost
everyone these days can benefit from sauna
therapy in our toxic world. Our approach is
simple: affordability and appropriate
technologies for detox.
We have told our own
patients that they no longer have a an excuse
for not proceeding with their much-needed sauna
therapy, since a portable FIR sauna can be bought
for just a few hundred dollars. We want to
enable other practitioners to make the same
option available to their patients.
